Recruiting in Virtual Worlds – How It Can Be Successful This paper details what companies have done, are currently doing, and plan to do to recruit in virtual worlds. Also, a review of all the current virtual worlds is included and reports which ones recruiters should use for their recruiting initiatives. The findings from our research allows product companies to find out what needs to be in place before recruiting in virtual worlds before recruiting efforts can truly be optimal. Also, this paper gives suggestions for recruiters who are planning their virtual world strategy and describes how to best execute their strategies in virtual worlds. Costs of a virtual world campaign and product creation are also included in this paper.
